Ethereal Resurrection Film Festival, March 29, 2025

Now in its 6th year, the Ethereal Horror Fest is “an immersive film festival for horror filmmakers and lovers alike,” that celebrates independent horror cinema here in Austin TX. In 2024, Ethereal introduced the Blood & Brushes: SFX Showdown where three makeup artists competed in front of a live audience to create original horror looks on their models. This year Ethereal introduced the Ethereal Resurrection Film Festival where short films and features with honorable mentions from Ethereal Horror Film Fest in the past get the opportunity to be an official selection and are “given a second chance at life” at Ethereal Resurrection.

The inaugural Ethereal Resurrection Film Festival was held at Kick Butt Coffee and ran from 11 am until 11 pm and featured screenings of 15 short films, 3 feature films and a music video plus filmmaker Q&As, and a live performance by The Immortalz.

We didn’t get there in time to catch everything, but we did see the final Q&A sessions, The Activated Man feature film and the Immortalz music video premiere and the live show. Check out some pics from the event.
